Wet Paint Main Event
Submit up to TWO framed & ready-to-hang paintings from 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 21 at the Wet Paint Tent (Tent A). All submitted paintings must be for sale. We suggest a starting price of 200.00 for small paintings (8x10.)
Please bring a standing easel to display your painting. Two paintings can be displayed on one easel.
Featured Artists' Paintings
Submit at Tent B on September 21, 8:00 - 10:30 AM. All submitted paintings must be for sale. At least 2 paintings must have been painted en plein air at Blandy during the week. Featured artists may bring 2 additional landscape pieces from their collection. All work must be framed.
Please bring your own display easels! Two paintings can be displayed on one easel. See below.
Quick Draw Paintings
Submit one (1) QD painting at Tent B on September 21 at 11:00. All submitted paintings must be for sale. Paintings are not required to be framed.
All tents will be closed to the public until 12:00.
All supports must have been stamped at check-in. Size maximum 16" x 20" in size.
Use the Back and Front Gallery Tags provided to label your paintings before submitting.
Framing Requirements (wet paint main event)
Please use D-Rings and wire on the back of your frame. No clip frames No sawtooth hangers allowed
Tips for framing: make sure your frame openings fit your supports. If you are using panels, look for a “plein air” frame when purchasing frames.
Display Easels for Exhibit
With the risk of redundancy,, please bring your own standing easels for displaying your paintings during the exhibit. These can be your working easels and/or presentation style easels. You can use one standing easel to display 2 paintings if necessary.
Quick Draw paintings may be displayed on flat on tables or on table easels provided by Plein Air at the Arboretum. You may bring your own small table easel to display your painting. Please label your easels with your name and ID number.
Tips for easels :
Inexpensive presentation easels are available on Amazon and office supply stores if needed.
